MAMA SITA’S COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS NOW PART OF THE OLDEST ACTIVE LIBRARY IN THE WORLD
A series of Teresita “Mama Sita” Reyes’ birth centennial commemorative stamps were donated to Klementinum National Library of Czech Republic which were received by Director-General PhDr. Martin Kocanda last March 28, 2019.
Along with the stamps, Mama Sita Foundation handed over a special edition of the centennial book “What Kids Should Know about Filipino Food” by food historian Felice Prudente Sta Maria and Mama Sita cook books entitled “Discover Mama Sita’s Flavors of the Philippine Islands”, “Homestyle Recipes” and “Lutong Bahay”.
Present in the intimate event were Ms. Grace Bantol, representative from Philippine Czech community; Atty. Roberto Mabalot, FTSC Trade Officer; and Madam Elsie Jainal, wife of Philippine Ambassador to Czech Republic, Ambassador Ombra Jainal.
The donations are now part of the treasures of the Klementinum National Library of Czech Republic, the oldest active library in the world built in 1555 by the Jesuits.
